TikTok recently announced that will let users upload longer videos like 8 to 10 minutes of video, putting their app in direct competition with youtube and Instagram.
Announcing the update, a TikTok spokesman said: we’re excited to roll out the ability to upload longer videos that are up to 10 minutes, after long testing, changing upgrading users will be able to upload short training, source.
I hope they can let creators organize their videos, and create a playlist where followers can choose to watch what they want instead of showing random videos.
In my opinion, Tiktok and youtube are two completely different platforms that have different audiences, target different categories of people, and have different objectives. For me it is impossible to compare TikTok with youtube and Titok will never replace youtube.
